You will be an integral part of our Software Product and Service Delivery organization with ultimate responsibility for quality of our ETRM offerings from the end user standpoint. You will be in charge of internal software acceptance on behalf of strategic customers. Subsequent to that you will guide customers through their Production Acceptance Testing and help them with deploying our solutions in production. You will also be intimately involved with post-production Technical Support.

The primary requirement for a person in this position is in-depth understanding of commodities trading business (hands-on experience is a big plus). You’re very verse in hedging techniques including the quantitative aspects of it (e.g. various approaches to VaR calculation et al). Understanding of distributed computing fundamentals is a must (prior experience of working for a software vendor is a big plus).

Certain amount of regional travel may be required from the person in this position.

Requirements for a person in this position include Java hands-on proficiency covering all core APIs and frameworks, as well as in-depth understanding of XML/XSLT, HTML and JavaScript. Experience in design and development of multi-tier distributed applications is a must, as is at least intermediate level of written and conversational English.

Prior exposure to design and development of software applications in the areas of commodities trading and hedging is a big plus.”

We are seeking an experienced pre-sales consultant to work on projects in the energy trading, physical operations and risk management fields. The presales role will support our European sales team and will be based at our headquarters in London.

You will work alongside our consultancy division to transform business requirements into system design. You should have end-to-end experience in trade life cycle and software development life cycle, financial instruments experience in a development/support environment, and of systems integration.

The Aspect ETRM Sales team in London is seeking a pre-sales consultant with a minimum of two years experience with an ETRM solution.

There is plenty of progression within this role and the candidate should see this as an opportunity to understanding the ETRM space and ultimately become a key player within our pre-sales consultancy team.

The pre-sales opportunity is for a self starter who has come from a customer facing role. Knowledge of a front office deal capture solution with some operational knowledge is essential. Knowledge of oil and oil derivative operations and market data systems are desirable.
