The Decision Support Center Workspace

The DSC workspace is flexible and intuitive – it is simple and straight forward to customize, whether it be by market segment, region, or user-role within the company. Flexible panel displays allow you to drag and drop panels where you want them, and easily expand and minimize.

Real Time Futures

Select live prices and customize the information from the various futures exchanges including ICE, Nymex CME, DME, Comex and LME. Also included is the spreads data from these exchanges.

Select Scrolling or Fixed Page news from industry leading sources: Dow Jones, BBC Monitoring, Platts. From stacking headline news, click on headline to open content in a new window. With flexible, easy news filtering you can select several news sources by content provider or keyword and display headlines together in one window and the simple keyword search allows you to see only the desired news content. Standard and Advanced Charting

Standard charting allows instant charting of up to seven years of historical data. Chart technical analysis lines: Bollinger, Fast Stochastic and Slow Stochastic. Advanced charting of full data history, save charts with DS Chart reader, zoom function to focus on a specific date range, threshold lines and alerts, analytical functions and advanced technical analysis. With more than 30 technical analysis indicators, we also support Tick, Ask/Bid andIntraday real-time charts.

Price Reader

The Price Reader Tool allows you to draw from more than 18 years of historical pricing from Platts, CME, ICE, and FOREX.. With easy market symbol look up and the ability to select nearby or specific contract information, you can quick-charge your seasonality analysis, stress test your forward curve and empower your spot, pricing, contract and indices decisions. Use this powerful feature to streamline prices into your back office with no re-keying necessary.

Dynamic Data Exchange for Real Time Studies

AspectDSC facilitates DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) to integrate dynamic, real-time pricing with Excel. Real-time Futures prices can be displayed in Excel, as individual worksheets e.g. Nymex Access UNL, Nymex Access Heat etc. The link is live, so that prices in Excel continue to update in-sync with the Futures prices on your AspectDSC page. Prices are displayed by month, with categories for: Last, Change, Spread, Bid, Ask, Low, High, Settle and Volume.
Individual live prices displayed in the Excel spreadsheet can be modified by changing the formula specification that corresponds to a spreadsheet cell. By entering Aspect provided symbols, you can specify different categories of the same data, e.g. a Nymex. Unleaded contract index, Access i.e. outside trading hours.

Bulletin Board

The AspectDSC Bulletin Board service is an encrypted, secure instant messaging application that allows colleagues to share information internally. Importantly our Bulletin Board keeps a record of all internal communications providing an important history in the event of miscommunication. Communicate one-to-one or one-to-many. Instant message internally and with brokers and counter parties. Analysts can share daily market recaps and analysis with products trading teams, market news can be shared with the entire company in an instant, and colleagues can be alerted immediately of contracts and trades.

Options Calculator and Blending Calculator –

Business analytic tools, designed by professionals for professionals, allow you to maximize your productivity and maximize your profit.

The AspectDSC Options Calculator uses the Binomial Tree Model to calculate the value of options prices. The Binomial tree Option Pricing method assumes that the price of the underlying can go up or down by fixed multiples. Each price jump is assigned a probability and a tree of possible underlying prices is built. Working from the tree points or nodes at the option maturity date, the worth of the option can be back calculated until the option can be valued at the desired date.

The AspectDSC Blending Calculator estimates the quality of in-tank or on-board blends for a long list of linear and non-linear specifications. Use the optimizer to find the lowest cost combination of components to achieve a desired result.
