Crude oil is a staple financial instrument for hedgers, traders and investors around the globe and one of the most significant resources in the world. Keeping up with crude markets requires a keen attention to detail as well as patience in what is typically an unpredictable industry.

We had an infographic created to visually explore some of the key historical events of crude oil, including George Bissell and Edwin L. Drake’s oil discovery, and the Arab Oil Embargo on the United States.
